The Melchizedek Order Royal Priest Covenant

The New Covenant in Jer 31:31-34Jer 31:31-34
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: although...: or, should I have continued an husband unto them? 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

). It is also necessary to understand that the First Priesthood covenant was only temporary. The blood of animals could not: atone permanently for sins or change the sinful condition of the heart. The blood of animals but could only cover temporarily for involuntary sins.

Furthermore, with the passing of time the First Priesthood covenant became defiled (Neh_13:29 & Mal 2:8Mal 2:8

). Yahweh used prophets Jeremiah (31-31-34) and Isaiah (61:6) to promise a New everlasting Priestly Covenant. Prophet Amos was used to promise a day when Yahweh Himself will rebuild the fallen tabernacle of David and join the remnant of men (Israel) and all the Gentiles that invoke His name (LXX Amos 9:11-12Amos 9:11-12

There was an inherent flaw in the Levitical priestly covenant (Lev 10:12-18Lev 10:12-18
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

12 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy: 13 And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded. 14 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel. 15 The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded. 16 And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying, 17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD? 18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

30 And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.

). When the blood of the sin offering for atonement was not brought within the veil then the priests were commanded to eat of the sin offering (Lev 10:18Lev 10:18
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

Furthermore, as Whedon explains in his commentary: “Leviticus 6:30Leviticus 6:30

The complete propitiation symbolized by the sprinkled blood and the flesh eaten by the priest could not be effected under the Levitical dispensation. When the flesh was eaten, the blood-sprinkling within the tabernacle was lacking; and when the blood was thus sacrificially treated, eating the flesh was prohibited. For the imperfection in the Old Testament remission of sins, see Introduction, (7.) Jesus Christ made a complete atonement, having carried his blood into the holy place, “the true tabernacle,” and given his flesh to be the bread of eternal life to all believers. 32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. 41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven? 43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

Thus, the letter to the Hebrews explains how Yahweh addressed this deficiency and introduced the New Priesthood Covenant also referred to as the Second Covenant. This letter is written when the Roman Legions begin to pour into Jerusalem and near the time of the prophesied destruction of the Temple.

For the priesthood being “transposed,” of necessity there takes place a “transfer” of the law.

confirms that the New Covenant is the Covenant of the Royal Priesthood according to the order of Melchizedek.

With Yahushua’s royal priesthood and atonement sacrifice, this fault is done away once and forevermore. He brings His shed blood beyond the veil of His own body, which is the new temple, and He gives His flesh to be eaten as bread and blood to be drank, as wine, as a living altar (1 Cor 9:131 Cor 9:13
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

. The word has three usages in Hebrew: 1) Fresh as in not aged. 2) New as in contrast to the old 3) Renewed. Furthermore, there is another Greek word used in the NT besides “kainos” and it is “neos” which means entirely new.

We believe this Second Covenant of the Priesthood exchanged positions with the Levitical priesthood. The Levites were formerly in charge of teaching Torah and administering the day to day Legal issues in court. Yahweh found fault in THEM (Heb 8:7-8Heb 8:7-8
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

). He didn’t find fault on the Law, on the contrary, He writes His Law in minds and hearts. The kings had to write a copy of the Torah, in order to rule Israel. But now the Torah is written in minds and hearts for everyone joined to the covenant.

When the disciples assembled the council in Jerusalem in Acts 15, it was quite clear that they had taken responsibility for such decisions away from Sanhedrin and away from Levites.
