Mainstream “Sunday” church does not understand the prophetic significance of these. They think it is the yoke of the law to observe these. They have no idea that everything of significance in the Calendar of the Father and the Son occurs on these appointed times.
We observe these as Memorials and Rehearsals. The Son was put to death on the preparation day for Passover and unleavened bread. The Son resurrected on the Sabbath and presented the waved sheaf of first fruits of barley (resurrected saints) on the appointed time for the prescribed first fruits offering in the Temple.
The Holy Spirit came as a mighty wind on the day of Pentecost (Shavuot). The Son will return for His bride on the Day of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), also known as the day no one knows when. This is the day the Son was born and it is the day the Son will be crowned with His bride.
The Second coming will happen on the day of atonement (Yom Kippur) also called the day of judgment. The millennial kingdom of the Messiah on earth is foreshadowed by the feast of tabernacles, also known as Sukkot. He is Immanuel, God with us and will tabernacle, sukka with us. It is also a Sabbatical millennium. The nations that do not go to Jerusalem on Sukkot during the millennium will experience drought.
The temple was destroyed twice on the 9th of AV separated by hundreds of years. This is a day of visitation but not a feast day. But it is an appointed time. The fall feasts have not been fulfilled. You cannot understand prophecy let alone teach prophetical events if you do not care for the appointed times.
You do not observe these feasts for salvation but you are a foolish bride if you do not get acquainted with them. They are the milestones in the prophetic calendar. The next milestone is the culmination of the wedding day followed by the wedding banquet of the Lamb.
You can write a manual on how to ride a bike but if you never rode a bike you have no idea what it feels like. Likewise, if you do not observe the feasts and appointed times you are completely blindsided as what they mean in the New Covenant of the Melchizedek priesthood. Also completely oblivious to their prophetic significance.
