Fall Appointed Times Eschatology

Eschatology made easy if you understand the Father’s appointed times.

The first three appointed times of Lev 23 were fulfilled during the first coming of the Messiah for His death and resurrection. It was followed by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Shavuot (Pentecost) which is the fourth of the spring appointed times.

The next three appointed times occur in the fall and are referred by many names. Let’s study the names and significance of the next three appointed times.

5) The feast of Trumpets aka the Day No One Knows When. Why the day no one knows when? Because in the Jewish wedding, only the Father knew when the betrothed Son will come back for His bride-wife. The Father made all the arrangements, so even the Son would not know when this date was due. This is a day called the Day of Christ (Messiah) and it is a day for rejoicing and much noise. It comes with no warning.

This is also called Yom haZikron or day of remembrance. Why day of remembrance? I think the Father remembers His covenant like he remembered His covenant (Ex 2:24Ex 2:24
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

It is also a day of coronation for Kings, Yom haMelekh.

This is the only appointed time that occurs in total darkness because it coincides with the arrival of the new month for which the moon will not give out its light.

Eze 32:7Eze 32:7
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

7 And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. put...: or, extinguish thee

The only appointed time that starts on the first day of the month is referenced in the three verses above explicitly, the moon shall not give her light…..folks this is not sighted sliver of the moon for declaring the new month from Jerusalem. It is universal and the moon is in conjunction.

There is another name for this appointed time which is key to understanding prophetic events. This is when the Sun the earth and moon are in perfect alignment for a very short period of time. It is called molad, and also called “twinkling of an eye” for it lasts a very short period of time although the moon may remain concealed for a bit longer.

Another name is the “last trump.”

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

6) The next event occurring on the tenth day of the Seventh month is called Yom Kippur (covering) or Yom haDin meaning Day of Judgment. This is also known as THAT DAY and YOM YAHWEH. And it is a Day of Vengeance unlike the Day of Christ.

A clue to That DAY and how we may differentiate it from the Final Judgment which will occur after the millennial kingdom is found in Revelation. It is clear from the reading of Rev 20:4Rev 20:4
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur are separated by Ten days and these ten days are for introspection, fasting, and repentance. These ten days are also days of testing in Daniel. Daniel means El (God) is my judge. So this speaks of Divine Judgment.

The assembly of Philadelphia was the only church that was promised to be kept OUT from the hour of testing which will be universal.

Finally, between the memorial called the twinkling of an eye aka the last trump and the day of Judgment there is a Torah that has not been fulfilled by the Messiah…I call it the Torah of the newly wed warrior

Deu 24:5Deu 24:5
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken. neither...: Heb. not any thing shall pass upon him

In spite of the credentials of many book writers and eschatology teachers whether messianic, christian and rabbinic, if they do not explain that based on Deu 24:5Deu 24:5
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

the Messiah can’t return, get His bride and kill His enemies all at once they are without understanding.

Take another look at Isaiah 26:20Isaiah 26:20

7) The millennial kingdom of the Messiah on earth is foreshadowed by the feast of tabernacles, aka Sukkot. He is Immanuel, God with us and will tabernacle, sukka with us. It is also a Sabbatical millennium. The nations that do not go to Jerusalem on Sukkot during the millennium will experience drought. The wedding banquet occurs on the millennial kingdom of Messiah on earth.

The wedding banquet is foreshadowed by the fall feast of Sukkot.
